Biography

Bernadette Lombardo Drabek was born and raised in Houston, Texas. “I have fond memories of growing up in the Oak Forest – Garden Oaks area with my seven siblings, eating grill cheese sandwiches and playing in the woods behind my house where a school now stands.”

After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in English/Communication with a minor in Theology, and completing her Master in Education/Curriculum Specialist, she headed back home where her education first began, St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. She accepted a teaching position for Pre-Kindergarten in 2009 and is currently the principal.

Her philosophy is that “learning should be fun in order for young students to enjoy the experience.” This motto holds true in her writing when she is creating a story for a beginning reader.

Bernadette has been married to her husband, Larry for thirty-five years. She has two Aggie daughters (Gig ‘Em!), Angela and Alizabeth, along with three grandchildren. Her favorite superhero is a teacher!
